How bloody the unemployment has become

A fantastic interactive map of an un-fantastic unemployment reality is on Slate.  Though we are, by now, highly aware of the depressing unemployment figures, sometimes nothing beats seeing things in picture.  Below are some of the year-on-year figures unemployment changes that are shocking they somehow merit to be pointed out.

From 89,000 to 730,000. A 700% increase.

Within one month, the number grew exponentially.

730,000 to 2,100,000. A further tripling.

That’s like a sea of blood now. Bloody hell.
