In addition to the three that have already been reported to need additional capital, BAC, WFC and C, GMAC and Morgan Stanley are two additions to the list.
WSJ is reporting that GMAC is directed by the Fed to seek additional $11.5bn in capital while earlier rumors that Morgan Stanley does not need more capital is crushed by the news that it will be needing $1.5bn. While the amount is small, this still brings into question some of the news that have been leaked earlier.
Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and American Express remain safe.
WSJ is reporting that Capital One Financial (COF) is another firm NOT needing any additional capital.
Is it just me or the excitement towards the results of the stress tests has disappeared? Basically we already known a big chunk of the story with only the specifics and results for the small banks to learn.
