Here’s a graph of the top 20 best global brands from Interbrand:
The only financial brand, American Express, has exited while Apple has become one of the global brands just last year even years after the release of iPods. I suppose the recent surge of new/improved products such as iPhone, which has seen upgrades from the original version to 3G to 3GS in a span of a couple of years as well as the Macbook Air, Snow Leopard and iPod touch, nano and “nano-modified” were strong forces that helped brought the Apple brand up. GE surprisingly stay put even with the hitting its finance arm has taken. Coca Cola, IBM and Microsoft remained strong to take the top 3 spots.
